 This year Salem began a new tradition: we asked for the loan of Nativity Scenes from members of Salem's congregation and school families. Many dozens of scenes were on display in the sanctuary and in the Fireside Room over the time of the Choir Concert and the School Christmas Service/Program. And the art instructors in the school had students make their own creche displays for the collection. So we had over a hundred displays: needlepoint, ceramic, construction paper, carved olive wood, blown glass, and so forth, from many contries, cultures, and traditions. The displays were both devotional to experience and instructive to view. Thank you to all who participated.
