And as we are moving into the twenty-first century we have a great desire to catch up to the needs of our community and to utilize modern technology. For example, we don't show films so much any more; we have a video projector. We are installing a big screen TV for small group gatherings for both entertainment and education. We can watch television programs, videos, dvd's, and use it as a screen for computer generated presentations, such as Powerpoint. We have "wired" the school and church buildings for computer access. We have a strong computer learning program for our elementary school. Our in-house publishing is able to look much more professional with modern computers and printing capabilities.

   So the Facilities Ministry strives to balance our needs for more space for new projects with preservation of resources for continuing projects. We are building, re-allocating, recycling, renovating, repairing, and renewing our physical plant so that the Salem's ministry can be effective, not only in reaching out to the community with Christian love, but also in maintaining our ministry commitments to Christian love with have adequate resources for our ministries.
