Each month, on the second Sunday, the Fellowship Ministry has been holding a Cuisine of the Month lunch. We have been going to different restaurants -- Italian, Chinese, seafood, Japanese, -- and this month (July) we went to Clifton's Cafeteria in downtown Los Angeles. We carpooled in the church van (parking can be difficult) and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time eating good, traditional American cafeteria cuisine. We sign up for our Cuisine of the Month activity at church during the couple weeks before the event (we make a $2.00 reservation per person which is contributed toward the tip and/or we have donated it to Food for Body and Soul ministry -- the fee helps us remember that we have signed up.) You are welcome to join us for food, conversation, and friendship!
Clifton's Cafeteria, a landmark in Los Angeles for many decades, is decorated inside with California Redwoods, murals, and scenes of the California outdoors. Scott drove us (safely, despite our teasing him) and we went through the line and sat at a special table that Clifton's saved for us.
