We oversee the employment policies, procedures, practices of Salem in hiring and in its workaday life to help make sure that our employees are treated with dignity in the Lord, that our congregational resources are being used with proper stewardship, and that we follow the laws applying to our church as an employer.

    Although we are a consulting organization, the congregation recognizes the importance of consistent, well-communicated expectations and of reliable, thoughtful compensations -- so it relies on our recommendations for many of its decisions.

    We help formulate job descriptions, hiring and termination procedures, benefit analysis, and so forth.

    We a small committee, but we do an important job supoorting the people who work for the Lord at Salem Lutheran Church. We report to the Finance Ministry of Salem.
