![]() Mrs. Huleis is presented ELEA Principal of the Year Award by School Board President, Tom Queally (link to Award Page) Open House is a wonderful time of the school year. We are not talking so much about what needs to be done, about assignments, about behavior, about projects. Instead, we are talking about what has been done. We look at student work, displayed on the walls or on the desks. We listen to music in the sanctuary. We see displays of science projects, of video compositions, of art work. We watch as our child reads a favorite book (maybe they made their own books) or boots a computer to show us work, or points out a potato with long masses of roots growing in a vase. Open House is a happy time to look back at a good year and thank the Lord for the many blessings we have received. Our Open House began in the sanctuary with the presentation of Principal of the Year award to Mrs. Huleis, continued with visits with the teachers in the classrooms, and finally a stopover in the nearly finished Fellowship Hall, where Science Fair projects were displayed and where refreshments and conversations were enjoyed.
