All year long women from Salem gather to sew quilts for overseas relief missionary activity. These quilts are not only blankets to keep families warm at night; they also serve to divide spaces for privacy, to give protection from the ground and shade from the sun. They are an important shelter for people desperately in need. Our Women of Salem also gather and assemble health, school, and sewing kits to send overseas to those in need. Hundreds of people every year are helped by the love and work of these dedicated Christian women.

This year's quilts were made by Helen Aaseng, Nancy Burgio, Karil Drake, Dorothy Frankson, Minnie Katzenberger, Dorothy Paul, Helen Schaff, Geri Shaw, Anne Staie, and Shirley Youngquist.
