Salem Lutheran Church
Pastors Scott and Melissa Maxwell-Doherty Visit
   Pastors from Salem's past, Youth pastors from the early eighties, returned to Salem to preach, to visit, and to share God's love with us. Since they left in 1984, they served congregations in Arizona and North Dakota and now are Campus Ministry Chaplains at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, California. It was good to see them again and to hear the good news of God's work in their lives.

      Pastor Scott Doherty preached both worship services and Pastor Melissa Maxwell-Doherty officiated at communion during second service.

      Between services they met with us in the Fireside Room for a discussion of their work in the Lord over the past two decades.
