We have two services each Sunday morning.
   A Traditional Service at 8:30 AM which includes traditional Lutheran liturgy.
   A Blended Service at 11 AM which includes some of the traditional liturgy blended with more contemporary elements.
   Also…"Walk By The Water" our Children’s Service which is held during the 11 AM service. Children process from the Sanctuary, accompanied by one of the pastors, to our Fireside Room for their own worship service, held during the time of the sermon in the adult service. At the close of their service, the children return to the Sanctuary and process to the altar to kneel, observe the preparation of, and participate in prayers for Holy Communion which is served at every 11 AM service. The children then return to sit with their parents/family to participate with them in communion and the remainder of the service.

Pre-registration is not required.

There are many elements involved in worship preparation and presentation. They include those things which we see as well as the words and the music which we hear. Much care and planning is given to those elements with the prayer that God will bless the effort being made and will make His presence, His love and His grace very real and fulfilling to all who worship at Salem.

ON CHURCH FESTIVAL SUNDAYS, which occur throughout the year, we celebrate the occasion with special elements which are related to those individual observations. They may be singular elements of word, of sacrament, of music, of special visuals or a combination of all of them. We seek to both happily honor the events and respectfully celebrate them.

ADVENT, CHRISTMAS &NEW YEAR SERVICES include many special elements which enable us to more fully celebrate the birth of Jesus as well as the arrival of God’s gift of a new year. We invite you to join us for our special

Christmas worship services for 2003.
On Christmas Eve:
      At 4:00 An informal "Fireside Christmas Celebration" in our Fireside Room.
      At 6:15 Preservice Music
      At 6:30 A Festival of Christmas Lessons And Carols" featuring our Children’s Choir and Handbell Choir in our Sanctuary.
      At 10:30 A half-hour Christmas Music concert precedes
      At 11:00 A "Candlelight Festival Of The Nativity" featuring our Sanctuary Choir, held in our Sanctuary.
Communion will be served at all three of these services.

There will be a worship service on Christmas Day at 10 AM, communion will be served. We will have a New Year’s Eve Worship Service at 7:30 PM, communion will be served.

LENTEN SERVICES
Salem observes the five weeks of Lent with midweek Lenten services held each Wednesday evening. These are preceded by Soup Suppers each Wednesday, served just before Worship services. Soup and/or bread is prepared by those who will be attending worship to share with their fellow worshippers. Sunday services continue on their normal schedule during Lent. Dates and times of those services will appear here as soon as thy have been determined.

HOLY WEEK SERVICES
We begin the observance of Holy Week with special celebration on Palm Sunday. We continue with evening services held on Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and a vigil on Easter Eve. These three evening services, a Triduum, are blended into a continuing, processing observance which culminates on Saturday evening with a fellowship reception at which hot cross buns are served. Easter Sunday includes a Sunrise service as well as the regular 8:30 and 11 AM services. An Easter breakfast is served during these morning hours. Dates and times of these events will appear here as soon as they have been determined.
