Contemplative Prayer & Meditation

Each season of Lent we are challenged to undertake a spiritual discipline to draw us into closer relationship with God just as Jesus did during forty days of fasting in the wilderness. This year you are invited to engage in contemplative prayer and meditation throughout the forty days of Lent here at Salem. Starting on Ash Wednesday and concluding on Easter Vigil, the sanctuary will be open Monday through Saturday from 7:15-7:45 AM. Resources will be available to guide you in different techniques of prayer and meditation. It will be a time of quiet to separate ourselves from the hectic world around us and listen to the Divine. Join us for all forty days, once a week, or once. It's up to you. We are looking for one or two people who would like to commit to this discipline for all forty days to ensure that the church will always be open in case of illness or emergency. Questions?
