Women of Salem

All women, whether member or friend, of Salem Lutheran Church are invited to join in the fellowship of our events and many interest groups.

As a community of believers and sisters in Christ, we commit ourselves to:

• Grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another through fellowship and friendships
• Share in ministry and actions
• Promote healing and wholeness among one another, the church, the society, and the world

• Summer retreat
• Christmas Tea - usually on the first Saturday in December

Our Interest Groups and Projects

Monthly

• Book Club – new book each month last Sunday at 10 am
• Lydia Circle – Bible study and fellowship 4th Tuesday at 10 am
• Martha Circle – Book study and fellowship third Saturday at 9am
• Lunch Bunch – meet at a restaurant (watch bulletin for time, date, place)
• Busy Bee Quilters – meet with Lee Clarke Second Monday at 6 pm
• Morning Quilters – first Wednesday at 9:30 am to assemble LWR quilts
• Evening Quilters – fourth Monday at 6 pm to assemble LWR quilts, design tops
• Prayer Groups – variety of groups meeting various times during month

All Year

• Bunko – intergenerational fellowship offered several times throughout the year.
• Knitting club – works on their own, knitting hats, blankets, etc for hospitals.
• LWR Kits– items collected all year,  assembled in Summer, sent with Quilts in Oct.
• Archive– gathering, sorting and assembling of narrative archive albums

New Programs

As issues, ideas, needs and opportunities are presented to the Women of Salem Board, we will act accordingly to bring enrichment, fellowship and inspirational programs to the women of Salem Lutheran Church.
