Lutheran Social Services So. Calif.
People who come to Lutheran Social Services are not just given a handout. They need to be registered to get food and other help, so you can know your gifts to Lutheran Social Services go to people who really need it.
Persons, or clients, who come to Lutheran Social Services for the first time must first register by filling out an intake form. This determines their eligibility to receive help from Lutheran Social Services. They state their income, their address, and the needs of their household. Having been determined to be eligible, clients can receive a bag of healthy food with high quality proteins such as ground beef, frozen fish sticks, as well as fresh vegetables, starches, and fresh fruit.
Many donated items come through your generous donations and the donations of others. Clients can, along with food, take donated clothing items. Because of the pandemic, the thrift store is closed.
You can give to Lutheran Social Services with complete confidence, knowing administrative costs are very low, and that Lutheran Social Services has been faithfully helping others in Southern California for over 75 years.
The Lutheran Social Services office is at the corner of Valerio Street and Tujunga Avenue in North Hollywood. For more information, or to find out how you can confidently help the needy, call them at 818-901-9480, or quickly find their website at www.LssSC.org.
